Day 5

Hola! let me catch you up from the last couple of days i just had. Sat we got to a houses at 10pm, i walked outside the airport and it was so humid that i could cut the air. Sunday we went with our host mom and she showed us where our school was then we went to the main plaza in merida. there were a lot of people selling stuff, but thats only on sudnays that the vender come out and sell things to stupid tourists :) hopefully by the end of the trip i wont look like one and maybe i can speak some spanish. monday we took a tour by bus around the city and saw some important houses. then on tue we went to some myan ruins called uzmal, its really amazing to think that they could build those temples without any techno. there was one that was like three stories and i went all the way to the top and then i coulnt breath for 30minutes after. some stupid boys in our class races eachother to the top and made it in like 20sec! SAY WHAT!! silly boys. we had a great tour guide, if only i could undersantd what he was saying! then we went to a hacienda which is some land with a nice house. lets see what else??? we were going to go to the beach but the boys wanted to watch the soccer game, so we went to Boston´s after school but that was full so we went to TGI Fridays and that was too full so we ended up at burgerking. Thank Gog cause i need some american food, i cant eat this mexican food, its too weird for me! our mom fixes all our meals and is really nice, she´s also an english teacher so when i dont understand she can tell me what it means in english. but i dont really understand much really. oh i also took a taxi for the first time in my life,who knew that my first taxi would be a mexican taxi. im just bouncing around trying to think of things to write so its not completely boring, my spa 202 class only has one other person and then my spa294 has the same person and then one more. both of the teachers are really nice and our 294 could probably be considered a genius but is fantastic. oh we had to take the bus by ourselves for the first time today cause the stupid boys told us the wrong meeting time, the last couple of days we have been going everywhere with them so i didnt really pay too much attention. so i thought that we would never make it to school today, but youll never guess who got us there!!!ME!!!!! YES PEOPLE I ACUTALLY GOT US THERE WITHOUT GETTING LOST!!!! I CANT BELIEVE IT MYSELF!! i have nothing else to say peace out!! ill update around Sunday after we go on our excursions this weekend. oh by the way the beach is super nice!! love it!!! the only thing i miss about home, besides my family is the air condtioning. its a gift to have air conditioning here, so when we find it we stay there for a really long time. so we have found that Walmart (SIDENOTE there is a Sams club and costco here, its a good thing that i brought both of my cards, i knew that was a smart thing to do) the internet cafe and, well thats all i got right now. only air conditioning at night at the house. OH one last bad thing, no flushing the TP down the toilet, have to stick it in the trash. i got nothing else! Until later peace out!!
