less than 6 days left

I cant believe that i have less than a week left! the time went by really fast for the most part, but im starting to burnout on the whole school thing! Cant wait for it to finally be done! This weekend we went to playa del carmen, well what can i say about that trip. wasnt really my thing to be honest, we went to an ecological park. it was really weird, it was a natural park where they kept a couple of animals. you could see stingrays and manatis and dolphines(for a fee). they did have some really cool things tho, there were two places where you could jump of the side of the clif into the water, all the water there was ocean water because it was connect to the ocean. they were only about 17ft high tho so it wasnt too exciting. plus they had lifegards waiting for someone to do something really stupid and hurt themselves. the reason that people were being stupid was becuase it was allinclusive, which means that drinks and food was free. so everyone was drinking all day, i think most of them started drinking when we got there at like 11 in the morning. i dont know why people like to way the day drinking instead of actually doing things. they also had something like a lazy river where you could just float down through the park. that is where they had the palces to jump off of and they also had a rope walk, which was really boring. The whole point of the park is to go snorkling but there werent a lot of fish around so i didnt have much to do. when i actually saw a fish other people who were renting snokling gear (and didnt know how to use it at all) would splash up a storm and scare the fish away. it was interesting to watch people try and snorkle and swim with fins! it was a good thing that they made us wear lifevests everywhere cause i would have drowned a couple of times from laughing so hard at other people.

i forgot to mention of first day, on the way to playa del carmen we stopped at another myan ruin. After seeing 4 other ruins they all kinda strat to look the same. however we only had 40 minutes to look around and by the time i figured out that the really big one was a 2 mile bike ride i couldnt go. however some people just arent as logical as myself and the rest of the group and decided to go anyways! i think i was ready to kill them when i found out, not sure if it was because they left me or cause i then had to wait for another 45minutes for them to get back! UGH!!! then we went to another cenote, i cant say the same for those, each one of them are different. this one was really cool and i wish that i could show you the awesome pictures that i took. since i cant ill try my best to describe it for you:) this one was totally underground so it was in a cave and was really dark, if it werent for the lights they put in you wouldnt be able to see anything. first you have to walk down about 30feet through a really narrow and short (height) walkway. once youre inside its amazing! there is only one place for the light to shine through, so it looks like a ray of light coming from the sky ( think godlike) and then it reflects off the crystal bluegreen water back onto the cieling. the light illuminates the surrounds water about 10 feet. then there are a ton of Stalactites one was at lest 40feet wide and most of them were long enough to touch the water (about 80feet). actually im really bad a measuring things so im probably really off so just look at the pictures. the only bad part of the cenote was there were a lot of bats, which i dont mind but the bat poop i do! it was everywhere and nasty!

then saturady we had a free day and a couple of the guy and i went on a deep sea fishsing trip, while the others stayed at the hotel and had allinclusive drinks and food. so you probable know what that means! we left for our trip at about 12 and were gone for most of the day. It took about 25mins to get out to the spot where we were going fishing and then another 30minutes to get deep enough to start fishing. then we had four hours to fish, just like any other fishing trip i have ever been on the fish wait till the very last minute to bit. we were heading back to shore when we got one bite, then about two minutes later we got another one. then four minutes later we got the last bite. three in a row and all within 10minutes of eachother! I was kinda made though cause those fish weighed probably as much as i did, therefore i could reel it in all the way! and i have a bruise where i was hold the fishing pole up against my hip, so at least i have some battle wounds but not any that i can show anyone! we ended up catching three sailfish, but didnt catch anything else. that also made me made cause i could eat any fish cause we didnt catch anything that we could eat. so i had to pay to go fishing and then go pay to eat fish cause i didnt catching anything we could eat. by the time that we got back everyone else that had stayed at the hotel was completely trashed and we were all really tired from fishing so we didnt do anything else that night.

yesterday was the last day at playa del carmen, we left around 12 and headed out to Tulum. i was super excited to go see tulum again, i kept telling everyone that was the best of the mayan ruins that we have seen. that wasnt the case when we got there, its still really pretty cause its right on the edge of the ocean, but everything has changed since i last went almost 6 years ago. you cant walk around on the grass anywhere you want, they have paths that you much stick to and cant even come close to any of the ruins. last time they had them roped off but you could still get upclose and personal. one of my favorite parts of the ruins i couldnt even find becuase i couldnt get close enough. before they only had one access to the beach but now they built a staircase down the side of the cliff to the beach, which kinda ruins the whole atmosphere of the place cause you have these nice ruins and then you have a bunch of stairs right next to them. so i was upset about that i didnt really want to stay too long becuase it was so different. it also didnt seem as big maybe because you could walk anywhere! then we went to a resturant that was right on the beach.

so that was my weekend at playa del carmen, i would give it about a 5 out of 10. not the best place but at least the sand was really nice! oh!!!!! i forgot to tell you what happened the first night! i had just taken a show and its probably about 1030 at night and im getting ready to get into bed. i pull down my covers and see some sort of dust on my bed, so i just brush it off thinking its nothing. well i was wrong!!!! THERE WERE BUGS IN MY BED AND TONS OF THEM!!! LITTLE BLACK ONES AND THEN THERE WERE THE WINGS OF OTHER BUGS THAT I GUESS HAD DIED!!!!! so we had to wake up charlie ( one of our teachers) to have him speak to the front desk cause i dont know enough spanish to understand or talk to them and neither did my roommate. poor charlie!!!! so they ended up moving us to a different room away from everyone else, which i didnt really mind, but everyone else stayed in their rooms and didnt have any problems. figures that something like that would happen to me, so the whole night it felt like bugs were crawling all over me!

SIDENOTE: there are a few things that are different here in mexico and im gonna tell you about them
1) the keyboards have spanish letters on them so when you see any of the following im sorry: ñ¨Ç ç
2) people are a lot shorter here but REALLY they are not that much shorter! the bathrooms are made for midgets!
3) everything (food) has some sort of spice in it! mom you should be proud i can eat salsa! i even eat extremely spicey things, but unlike the others my mouth burns for about 20minutes after i finish eating it!
4)it always rains and the humidity is out of control. 120degress with 100percent humidity
5)they have no grid system for their streets, so you think i get lost a lot at home! just think of how bad it is here! i NEVER know where im going!
5) there are no rules for driving, the biggest car wins out everytime. there are no lines or stop signs. and everyone likes to honk. they dont have speed humps they have speed mountains! and they are every 20 feet!
6) the buses mess up my back everytime i ride them, i dont think they have any shocks in them. and none of the ones i ride everyday have air conditioning. i think we have to worstest buses ever!

im out of time, ill update once more before i go!
peace out!
