So i am officially graduated!!!!! heck yeah!!! well i guess i have to wait for my teachers to actually put them in the computers but its close enough for me!!! all that i have done since the last update is study for the stupid test, but im not sure why cause everything that we studied wasnt on the test. what a waste of time, oh well, as long as i pass the class i dont really care! so i have time right now to just talk about the last 5 crazy weeks and im gonna continue my super awesome list!
there are a lot of differences between the US and Mexico! for example, tonight we are going to go to Centro, which is a place where everyone goes to just hag out or sell things but its the heart of the city. well anyways tonight they have a special event, actually its every thursday, but all the resturantes pull their tables out onto the street and the artists come out to showcase their stuff and there are a lot of live bands and music up and down all the streets near centro. it sounds like its going to be a ton of fun! we are going to go with our mom and she´s going to show us around everywhere, im gonna take a lot of pictures. i cant wait to see all the rest of the pictures everyone else got.
Bernie, who is our mexico excursion coordin, gave us some really awesome gifts! she gave the girls a cute purple shirt that says something like, Mexico Merida 2009, super cute. then the boys all got a mouse pad i think, but each one has different pictures on them. one of them has a bunch of the boys and myself jumping from a cliff(that was a specific edge to jumpoff) into the first cenote that we went to. it looks soooo cool cause all the vines are in front of us and then you can see us all jusmping! awesome, i just cant describe it as well as the actual picture is. we got all this stuff at the dinner that we went to with all the families and all the students. you wouldnt believe all the stuff that i am eating here, most of you would die of shock!!!! all of you would die of shock!!!!!
there is this really awesome icecream place that im going to really miss, everything there is really fresh, so i decided that begining this week until we leave i will eat icecream from that place everyday. to this point i have kept my promis, the sacrifices that i have to make here! oh, i really want to see transformers, so i think i might go watch it tomorrow at the VIP one last time before i go home and never have the chance again.
i cant think of anything else to say, so ill continue with my list/complaints
7) i can believe just how many masquitos there are here. i finally met someone who the masquitos like more than me! can you believe that, my legs look good comp to his!
8) everynight the parks (theres one on every coner here) are filled with kids and their parents. just hanging out or playing a futbol game or something, its really fun to see how close the families are here.
9) im ogonna talk a little bit more about the bathrooms, so that you can get a better feeling of what i am talking about. first off i am not a tall person at all! all the doors are so short that when i stand straight up you can see form my chest up. then there is the space or lack there of between the toilet seat and the door. there is no thing as pop and squat, not possible here! actually im not really sure how i actually pee without peeing all over myself. then there is the best part of all, no flushing the toilet paper, it must go into a basket next to the toilet! i hope that gives you a better idea of what its like to go to the bathroom here.
10)i cant believe how much spanish i can actually understand! just dont ask me to speak to you cause thats where it goes downhill!
11) just got ditched by Greg tonight cause he´s sleeping, im not sure how that kid sleeps so much. everytime i go overthere he´s sleeping. he sleeps so much that his family makes fun of him everytime that i go overthere
12) the host families are really, super fantastic! i absolutely love my family and cant wait to get home to send them some awesome ASU and arizona stuff. everyday she stuffs us with food, way too much food! she likes to give us like 6 things for breakfast and then gives us a feast for lunch. which is their big meal down here and everyone takes of work for at least a couple of hours to eat lunch with their families.
13) im not sure why im number this! i just dont have any better way to do this i guess, its better than just rambling on. thats actually what i am doing. oh well deal with it. i dont want to leave the A/C yet. i have to leave soon anyways, depending on how much extra time i have tomorrow i might update once more with everything that i did tonight and everything that im going to do with my family tomorrow. supposed to be going to a couple of local stores to buy stuff and then to a yuct. resturant.
15) CELEBRATE THE FACT THAT I NO LONGER HAVE ANY CLASSES!!!!
im out of time again, gotta go to centro and experience the awesome culture!
peace out!
